If you are in a reasonably big city then as you take French lessons Nottingham, Bristol, Edinburgh and other UK cities of this sort of size offer some good possibilities for finding residents who speak the language.

Try a Quiz

There are some interesting online quizzes for people learning to speak a foreign language and you could pass some time trying one out. Once you are feeling more confident you might want to search the internet for sites in French and see how you get on with a quiz or competition which is aimed at expert speakers rather than those studying it as a second language.
